The Focusing Effect is a faux-documentary/horror film about three film students who make a doc about breakups, only to push one of their subjects too far.
Anand "Ram Karthik", an aspiring young Radio Jackie. One day, one boy called the radio center and told that I am a love failure and now I am going to do suicide. After listing his concern, Anand narrates a love story to keep him away from suicide. He told that story episode wise and his story becomes very popular. Incidentally, this story becomes true in Anand's life and bring his love "Pranali Ghoghare" closer to him. For finding out his love Anand faces many problems and struggles much. Jean Barreau leads a spiritual commune on the countryside and promises his followers a chance for a second life. When their doubles arrive at the house, the followers learn that Jean meant his promise of a second life quite literally.
During the slavery period in Brazil, a sugar cane farm was the stage for the darkest kinds of horrors. Years later, the place's cruel past is still stained in its walls, even if unnoticed, until a series of strange events starts happening and death returns to the farm. The film is divided in five short horror stories.
